What makes our training methods different?

Our training methodology is based in positive reinforcement with an in-home approach. Our main goal is to help dog owners understand how to follow our dog training methods to achieve sustainable dog obedience. We want your dog to obey you for the long-term, not just during T.O.B. Dog Training sessions.

Punishments and shock collars are a thing of the past. Pairing positive dog training methods with an electronic collar is how we achieve maximum results. An electronic collar is not a shock collar; it is simply used to get the dog's attention, much like tugging on a leash. The electronic collar is never used as a punishment.

At T.O.B. Dog Training, we work on conditioning dogs to obey without even thinking about it, so when you say, "Sit," it is automatic for them to do so. How do we do this?

  • Free phone consultation prior to the first training session
  • Customized dog training for your dog, as each dog is different
  • Continued support during and after dog training sessions
  • Building owner confidence so that your dog knows to obey you at all times
  • Follow up and continued dog/owner training when needed
  • Personalized approach to fit your schedule and your needs
By coming to your home to train, your entire family can be involved in the process, learn the commands, and understand the process of obedience training. Transparency, education, and support are all extremely important to us. Your first dog training session will be focused on learning about you, your dog, understanding the home environment, and what behaviors your dog has that you would like addressed.

Our area of dog training service is a 30 mile radius outside of Sioux City, Iowa. Anything beyond that is $1.00 per mile for time and mileage.
